Success of “The Community Table”: Reducing social isolation and food insecurity.

We are happy to announce that our “La Table Communautaire” project has been a resounding success. With funding from the City of Montreal, we were able to combine collective cooking and social activity to break social isolation while reducing food insecurity. The six workshops provided 248 free meals, boosting participants’ self-esteem and inclusion in the community.

In addition, we have invited partners such as  Centre Bienvenue,   Omega Community Resources,  as well as speakers from Clé des champs, the West Island Citizen Group and Action-Autonomie.

We are proud of the success of our “La Table Communautaire” project and we thank the City of Montreal and the City of Dorval for their essential support. We hope this will encourage other similar projects to grow in the region and beyond to help build stronger and more resilient communities for the future.
